Esther Peterson is currently the Secretary and Treasurer for the Board of Regents.  She was born and raised in Steamboat Canyon, Arizona and represents Navajo Nation (Arizona). Esther earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master's in Educational Administration from the University of Arizona. She taught animal science, as well as family and consumer science at SIPI, Dine College, and the University of Arizona – the latter at which she earned tenure. She also attained her Principal's Certificate and worked as a high school principal. Now retired, Esther enjoys spending time with her family.
